Pius Omudho

Pius Omudho is the visionary founder and driving force behind Ko’mudho Foundation, an organization born from lived experience, resilience, and a deep commitment to uplifting vulnerable communities.
Raised in Alego North, Siaya County, Pius grew up under challenging circumstances, brought up by a hardworking single mother who struggled to provide for the family. Like many children in marginalized rural communities, his childhood was marked by significant hardships. Access to basic needs such as adequate shelter, food, and clean water was often uncertain. Despite having dreams and talents as a young boy, opportunities to nurture and develop them were limited due to financial constraints.
During his formative years, Pius also experienced the social expectation placed on young boys to be strong and resilient for their families, often leaving little room to express emotional struggles. As he grew older, he began to understand that beyond economic hardship, many young people also face emotional and psychological challenges that remain largely unaddressed in communities.
These lived experiences became the seed for the Ko’mudho Foundation. Motivated by the struggles he witnessed and endured, Pius founded the organization to support families and young people through awareness creation, community empowerment, and practical support programs. His goal was to ensure that other children growing up in similar environments would have access to opportunities, mentorship, and support systems that he once lacked.
Guided by compassion, leadership, and a strong belief in the power of collective action, Pius has dedicated his efforts to advancing initiatives that improve access to education, healthcare, housing, and economic opportunities for vulnerable families. Through Ko’mudho Foundation, he continues to champion programs that empower youth, nurture talent, promote environmental conservation, and strengthen community resilience.
His vision is to build resilient, inclusive communities where every individual especially young people have the opportunity to live with dignity, hope, and the support needed to thrive.
